Comfortable victory over BSH

By Nicklas Thygesen

Skjern clings to a Top4 spot.

On Saturday afternoon Oscar Carlén’s team won 34-31 over Bjerringbro-Silkeborg in front of 2,851 spectators at Skjern Bank Arena.

After a somewhat shaky start the west Jutlanders improved toward the end of the first half and pulled even with the visitors.

In the second half there was a bit more aggression and sharpness in the Skjern camp, which during the game had to do without Jacob Holm due to a red card.

The somewhat better defensive conditions made life easier for Svend Rughave, who got a better grip after the break, just as club record-holder René Rasmussen was incredibly effective on the right wing, while Bjarke Christensen was accurate from the penalty line with five goals from five attempts.

Ten minutes from time the Greens led 29-24 on goals by a well-playing Senjamin Buric, and the visitors never managed to recover the lead.

René Rasmussen was the top scorer with six goals.
