A long unbeaten run at home in Skjern Bank Arena was ended.
After 157 days with seven wins and one draw, Kasper Søndergaard’s team could no longer keep it going, as they lost Wednesday’s match against Mors-Thy 30-28.
Overall it was well deserved that the visitors took both points. The green-clad side had extreme difficulty creating good chances in attack, while the incoming Skjern goalkeeper, Svend Rughave, was also in fine form with 15 saves.
Skjern were never ahead at any point in the game, but chances were certainly there in the final phase, when Marius Nørsøller equalised to 27-27 five minutes from time.
Two consecutive goals from the visitors’ Nichlas Hald thwarted the West Jutlanders’ chances of points, which was cemented 50 seconds from time when Victor Norlyk decided the match with the game’s final goal to make it 30-28.
Jon Lindenchrone was top scorer with six goals for Skjern, who will be in action again in a week when BSH await away.
