Kasper Søndergaard praised both the support and the players' efforts after Saturday's tight match against Aalborg Håndbold.
- I am sorry that we could not give our spectators a better result, because the support and the backdrop were really good. The same was true of our players' efforts. The first 20 minutes our defense was really at a high level, while Bonde did well in goal.
- But it's a bit the same tune as the previous games. We are in it and have several leads, play well for large periods of the match, but are not sharp enough when things have to be decided - and then Aalborg is simply too skilled a team, says Kasper Søndergaard.
On Sunday an all-important away match against GOG awaits, where the Skjern side is driven to win if the dream of a fifth consecutive semifinal is to be kept alive.
- We have won in Svendborg the last two times, and I certainly believe we can do it again. We are well aware that it requires a win otherwise our chances for a semifinal place are finished, says the head coach.
