Double world champion returns home to Skjern Handball

After eight years in European top handball with Füchse Berlin and Paris Saint-Germain, 30-year-old Jacob Holm returns home to Skjern.

The double world champion has signed a 4-year contract with the green-blues.

- It is my major goal and dream that together we can create something big in Skjern Handball. I will work hard for that every single day. I have had some incredibly good years in both Paris and Berlin, and of course it is bittersweet to close that chapter.

- But the time is right for us as a family to return to Denmark, and Skjern Handball was the club and project that motivated me the most. I feel that I am in my best handball years, and I look forward to giving everything for the club, says Jacob Holm, who played youth handball in Skjern Handball alongside attending Dejbjerglund Efterskole.

- I look back on my time in Skjern Handball as something really positive, and I also grew up driving to Skjern to watch league handball. Therefore it will be a bit extra special to have Skjern Bank Arena as my home court for the next four years. I am really looking forward to that, says Jacob Holm, who is in his third season at Paris Saint-Germain.

Sports director Thomas Klitgaard states:

– Jacob is a player who has performed at the very highest international level for many years. He is not just a sporting reinforcement – he is also a signal about our ambitions in Skjern Handball. He brings experience from the biggest arenas, and it is that type of profile we want to build the future of Skjern Handball around.

- We are proud that Jacob has chosen Skjern Handball as the project he believes in most – and we are convinced that he will become a prominent profile in the many seasons to come, says sports director Thomas Klitgaard.

Jacob Holm will wear jersey number 5, and joins the club in the summer.
