2,840 spectators were in attendance when Skjern Handball took to the court in Skjern Bank Arena for the first time this season.
In the 3rd round of the Bambuni Men's League, Mors-Thy Handball were visiting, and it was truly entertaining.
In a high-scoring and intense match, Oscar Carlén won his first home game as head coach leading the green team, as the Skjern side added two more points to the tally with a 35-32 victory.
Led and orchestrated in the finest manner by Axel Månsson, who with an impressive 12 assists and 6 goals was instrumental in the West Jutlanders securing the season's first home victory.
Skjern's new captain, Mads Mensah, sealed the result 30 seconds before time with his goal to make it 35-32, which means the West Jutlanders occupy a joint 2nd place after three matchdays.
Already on Saturday another big challenge awaits when the defending champions from Aalborg Handball visit.
