Small defeat to Aalborg

By Nicklas Thygesen

Niklas Landin shut down the game when things got tense.

Broadly speaking, the experienced goalkeeper was the main reason Skjern's team could not quite catch up with the visitors when the defending champions visited Skjern Bank Arena with over 3,000 spectators in the stands.

Oscar Carléns side had created chances nevertheless — despite substitution options becoming fewer and fewer during the match, as both Mads Bjergfelt and Hugo Stuiver had to leave the field partway through.

Ten minutes before the end Skjern could have equalised to 26-26, but Landin stood in the way — as was the case in the following two attacks — where the West Jutlanders otherwise had completely free chances.

By contrast the efficiency was higher — three goals in a row — and then Skjern had to chase, unfortunately without success.

The visitors won 33-30.

Simon Sejer was top scorer with seven goals for Skjern.
