18-year-old Simon Sejer delivered a consistently great performance when he scored nine times on nine attempts in the first round of the playoffs on Sunday evening.
Although it did not result in points, the talented left winger feels that the greens — amid the disappointment — can take a lot with them from the match.
“We are of course disappointed and frustrated, because we played a really good game again. But we have lacked both margins and sharpness when it really has to be decided, and that proved decisive again yesterday. But I feel that we are focused on the right things, and yesterday we must also say that we were simply unlucky in many situations.”
“When the disappointment has settled, there are many things that we can take with us to the next match in Aalborg. Our efficiency in front of goal was high, and we created plenty of big chances, so I am confident,” says Simon Sejer.
The next match in the playoffs is on Saturday, where Aalborg Håndbold await away. That same opponent visits Skjern Bank Arena in the next home game on April 25.
Ticket sales for this will open on Wednesday.
