A perfect start to 2026.
Thursday evening Kasper Søndergaard's team picked up their third win out of three possible in 2026, when Ribe-Esbjerg was defeated in their own den 32-28.
7 goals in 12 minutes
18-year-old Simon Sejer got an exceptionally fine start to the match.
Seven goals from seven attempts and a forced turnover was Sejer's return in just 12 minutes. Nothing less than impressive from the talented left wing, who finished the game as top scorer with 10 goals.
The match pattern was largely identical to the away win in Fredericia.
The West Jutlanders in control, Christoffer Bonde excellent in goal and a comfortable lead in the middle of the second half.
But then the hosts stepped up - not least defensively - where the Skjern team had great difficulty creating big opportunities.
The home side actually had the chance to go ahead with ten minutes left, but then Christoffer Bonde stepped up again. At the same time Mads Mensah showed his experience at the other end, while Jakob Rasmussen also contributed with a couple of important goals, and then the race was run.
With the victory Skjern Handball is in 2nd place in the Bambuni Men's League.
