Würtz after the defeat to BSH: A really ugly match

By Nicklas Thygesen

There were not many beauty prizes to be won in Thursday's match against Bjerringbro-Silkeborg. Jonathan Würtz also admits that after the game, which he describes as a messy affair with strong defenses and goalkeepers at both ends.

– It was a really ugly match. Two well-prepared defenses and two good goalkeepers meant it became a strange game. For long stretches we actually create big chances, but we have difficulty getting it to flow, says Jonathan Würtz.

– They managed to commit many technical fouls on us, so the rhythm never got into place and defensively we had trouble controlling their seven-on-six. We stood too far apart, and that created some large spaces – among others for Svane.

Although the result did not go the team's way, Würtz still believes the level is higher than what is being shown right now.

– I think we can play better than what we are doing right now – at both ends of the court. We have lost two matches where we had opportunities for victory or at least points in both, but where we simply have not been sharp and skilled enough. But that must not become a roadblock for us, because some very important matches await.

– We have a really good team. It's about talking this through and lifting it in training. We must go into the games with the confidence we have built up over a long period – and two defeats must not change that, says Jonathan Würtz
