Skjern Handball signs 20-year-old right wing from Helsingborg

The replacement for Morten Vium is in place.

Skjern Handball has signed a two-year contract with the Swedish right wing Alfred Arnelin.

The 20-year-old right wing transfers to Skjern from OV Helsingborg, where he has played his entire career. Before the move, however, another big experience awaits when he this summer will represent Sweden's U20 national team at the European Championship.

– Alfred is a talented and exciting young right wing, in whom we see great potential. He has already shown encouraging signs in Helsingborg and on the youth national team, and we believe he can continue his good development in the green jersey, says sporting director Thomas Klitgaard.

– I have heard really many good things about Skjern Handball from Swedish players and coaches. They have spoken of a club with a strong unity and a special culture, where there is great support around the team. That appeals to me a lot, and I am therefore extremely excited to play in Skjern Bank Arena. It will be completely different surroundings than I have been used to in Helsingborg, and I really look forward to that, says Alfred Arnelin.

Alfred Arnelin moves to Skjern, where he has his first working day at the club on July 21.
