Skjern Handball lost the first semifinal against GOG with 25-19, as the green guests from Svendborg played on Sunday afternoon.
Christoffer Bonde delivered a strong performance in goal with a total of 20 saves, but it was not enough for points.
– We are very disappointed right now. But now the focus is on sending them home with no points on Wednesday, Bonde said after the match.
The Skjern keeper acknowledged that GOG hit a higher level in today's match.
– GOG beats us in all duels. It is our task to bring something more physical to the game on Wednesday. First and foremost, we need to find a higher level ourselves. If we come with this level on Wednesday, we have no chance. We have three levels higher than what we showcased today.
- Additionally, I hope for a boiling Skjern Bank Arena, as we have had throughout the entire playoffs. Then we can together send GOG home with a defeat, says Bonde.
