From Kristian Bro
When Skjern Handball runs onto the field against Aalborg Handball on Saturday afternoon, it will be in front of more than 3,000 spectators at Skjern Bank Arena. Kasper Søndergaard does not take the fantastic support for granted and emphasizes how important it is.
– It is fantastic that so many are coming. We are really happy about that. The support means a tremendous amount to the team. We hope that the audience can help put pressure on the game. We will do our best to reward the fantastic support – and hopefully take points, says assistant coach Kasper Søndergaard.
Skjern has previously had good control over Aalborg in six against six play, and it will be decisive again.
Skjern Handball is still the only Danish team that has taken points from Aalborg's home ground.
– We have been strong in six against six against them this season, and we know what it takes. It’s about hitting our peak level, avoiding technical errors, and finishing our attacks. If we do that, and Skjern Bank Arena boils with intensity, we can create a really exciting match and hopefully get a good result, says Søndergaard.
The match starts at 16:00 and will be broadcast live on TV2.
