North Zealand Handball got revenge.
After Wednesday's cup drama, where Oscar Carlén's team drew the short straw, Sunday’s hosts struck back when the two teams met again in Helsinge.
Just as in the cup match, it was North Zealand leading from the start.
7-2 to the hosts and Skjern facing big challenges.
This time the West Jutlanders were unable to really fight back. The quality at both ends was simply not at a sufficient level.
The Skjern team made contact in the second half at 19-18, but five consecutive North Zealand goals — and the hope of points was gone.
Skjern lost 31-27 after 16-13 at halftime.
Marcus Midtgaard was top scorer with eight goals.
