The local competitions lead their own lives.
A phrase that has been said countless times over the years when Skjern Handball and TTH Holstebro clash.
February 27, 2025 was no exception.
60 fast-paced, hard-fought, and breath-taking minutes ended in the most dramatic manner with Tim Winkler in the lead role.
The seasoned Skjern keeper was substituted in with the score tied at 30-30 with 20 seconds remaining for a direct penalty shootout against Frederik Bjerre, which Winkler successfully maneuvered out of.
And what happened next was, to say the least, a chaotic affair. Several VAR checks later, Skjern was awarded a free throw with four seconds remaining, which unfortunately the western Jutlanders did not convert into a goal.
Drama for all it's worth. Skjern and TTH shared the spoils with Noah Gaudin as Skjern's top scorer with ten goals.
