There was both joy, satisfaction, and disappointment to be seen in Skjern captain Emil Bergholt after Saturday's intense duel against Aalborg Handball.
Bergholt emphasized the undefeated streak and the fantastic atmosphere in Skjern Bank Arena.
- We delivered a fantastic fight, never gave up, and showed what we are made of. It almost paid off fully, and I can only appeal to our audience that when they turn up the volume, it rubs off on the field.
- On Saturday, we felt what such an atmosphere does to us, and we are fully aware that it goes both ways. It is a cooperation and an interplay that needs to continue for the rest of the playoffs because then I have no doubt for a second that we will bring home many more points, says the Skjern captain.
- We were very, very close to two points, but in the end, that one point can also prove to be crucial regarding a semifinal spot. I note that it was the fifth game in a row without a defeat, and we need to build on that momentum now towards Saturday’s away game, says Emil Bergholt.
Mors-Thy Handball is the next opponent in the playoffs. The match will take place on Saturday at 20:00 in Thisted.
The game will be broadcast live on TV2 Sport.
