In a packed arena in Lyon, the top scorer from Skjern stood in the middle of the court surrounded by the biggest stars in the world.
For the first time, Noah Gaudin was dressed in the French national jersey when France defeated Denmark three days ago. After 20-25 minutes of the match, Gaudin got his first official minutes for the French national team, which he himself describes as a huge childhood dream.
- The national anthem. Already there, I got goosebumps. It was massive to stand on the field and sing it. I was a bit nervous - I think you could see that on TV - but my teammates were great and helped me a lot.
- I have been filled with a lot of pride for having worn the French jersey that made me dream as a child. It has always been the biggest dream, says Noah Gaudin, who was also happy that his debut was against Denmark.
- It made it a bit more familiar that the debut was against Denmark and that my captain in Skjern was on the opposite team. It was fun, and I'm glad I got my national team debut against him. I will never forget that, says Gaudin.
