Seven former Skjern talents in Rækker Mølle Handball's 1st division squad

By Kristian Bro

The collaboration between Skjern Håndbold and Rækker Mølle Håndbold continues to develop – and in the coming season no fewer than seven players with pasts in Skjern Håndbold's youth department are part of Rækker Mølle Håndbold's squad in the 1st division.

They are Mathias Troelsen, Amandus Vatnedal, Tobias Vestergaard, Philip Jakobsen, Loke Brasen, Frederik Langhoff and Simon Ostersen.

The close cooperation between the two clubs has for several years helped create good opportunities for young players in the area, where they can both develop athletically and at the same time remain in the local community.

– Rækker Mølle Håndbold offers a strong and secure training environment, and we are proud to be able to send players on in their development there. At the same time, the collaboration means that we can retain young players in the area and the municipality, where we know they get good conditions to continue their development, says Skjern Håndbold's head of talent, Christian Trodsøe.

He also points out that the development is an important sign that the work on talent development is moving in the right direction.

- When seven former youth players from Skjern Håndbold are now part of a squad in the 1st division, it also says something about the fact that we are on the right track with the strategy and the work that is put in every single day around our youth environment. At the same time, we hope that Rækker Mølle Håndbold can be a strong first stop on the road to senior handball at the highest level for some of our young players, says Christian Trodsøe.

At Rækker Mølle Håndbold they are also pleased with the close cooperation between the clubs.

– We are really happy about the collaboration with Skjern Håndbold, and it is a partnership that has developed a lot in recent years. This applies both to talent development, double matches in Skjern Bank Arena and participation in the Skjern Bank Grand Prix.

– Sportingly, the cooperation means a great deal to us. We get the opportunity to build relationships with young players with ambitions who come from a strong talent environment, and at the same time we can offer them a senior and divisional environment where they can take the next step in their development and gain valuable experience at a high level. That creates good opportunities for both clubs and helps strengthen handball in the whole area, says Rasmus Hansen from Rækker Mølle Håndbold.
