When this season is over, Vetle Rønningen exchanges the green jersey for a red one.
Skjern Handball and Aalborg Handball have agreed on a transfer that sends the Norwegian back player to North Jutland this summer.
– We have had a good dialogue with Vetle, who has expressed a desire for a bigger role. We have chosen to meet that wish, and therefore we have reached an agreement with Aalborg on a transfer for the summer. We thank Vetle for his efforts and hope that the time in the green jersey concludes in the best possible way, says sports director Thomas Klitgaard.
In the same context, Skjern can present a familiar face as a replacement.
Jonathan Würtz has been bought out of his contract at Ribe-Esbjerg HH and returns home to Skjern Handball on a three-year contract.
- Würtz is a fully adequate replacement, with whom we have a continuous familiarity after many years in the club. He was an important pivot for our defense last season, just as he has been the foundation of Ribe-Esbjerg's defense this season. We see the whole transfer case with Vetle Rønningen and Jonathan Würtz as a win-win for all parties, and we look forward to welcoming Würtz back this summer, says Thomas Klitgaard.
