Yellow turns to green.
Rhein-Neckar Lions' 28-year-old right back, Danish Jon Andersen, is moving to Skjern Handball this summer.
The nearly two-meter tall back player, who has played in the world's strongest league since 2021/2022 for both Frisch Auf Göppingen and Rhein-Neckar Löwen, has signed a three-year contract with Skjern Handball.
- I am really looking forward to becoming a part of Skjern Handball this summer. Besides that I am obviously looking forward to getting closer to friends and family again, I feel that Skjern Handball was the perfect match for where I am in my career right now.
- I have always admired the club, and I can't wait to play in the green jersey, says Jon Andersen, who this season has recorded 47 goals in the Bundesliga for Rhein-Neckar Löwen.
Sports manager Thomas Klitgaard has long followed the Bundesliga Dane, who this summer will form a duo with Joaquim Nazaré.
- Jon is an excellent handball player, who has just gotten better since moving to the Bundesliga. We have been following Jon's development for some time, and we are convinced that he and Joaquim Nazaré will form a strong duo at right back, says Thomas Klitgaard.
Jon Andersen replaces Eivind Tangen, who after seven years at the club will leave Skjern Handball this summer.
