He has followed the club since he could walk, and now the boyhood dream continues for talented Simon Sejer.
The young left wing - who still lives at the Ringkøbing-Skjern Talent Academy - has extended his contract with Skjern Håndbold until 2030.
– I am enormously proud that Skjern believes in me and is willing to back me all the way to 2030. I have followed the club since I could walk, stood in the stands in Skjern Bank Arena with a bare chest and cheered the boys on the pitch. It is a true boyhood dream to play for the club, and I am just looking forward to putting the green jersey over my head for the many years to come, says Simon Sejer.
Sporting director Thomas Klitgaard states:
- Simon has had a really fine development since he entered the Talent Academy, and he has taken big steps in a relatively short time. Although he is only 19 years old, he already plays with an impressive calm and maturity.
- We expect a lot from Simon in the coming years, and we are proud that yet another player from the Talent Academy is making the step up to the league team and becomes part of the future at Skjern Håndbold, says sporting director Thomas Klitgaard.
Simon Sejer is credited with 49 matches with a total of 64 goals for Skjern Håndbold.
