Skjern's experienced goalkeeper became decisive when Tim Winkler saved a penalty with 20 seconds remaining in Thursday's local derby, with the score at 30-30.
- I had decided that I would go down to that corner. On two of Frederik Bjerre's previous penalties, he had made two screwballs to his right side, so I went all-in and bet everything that he would go for the same side. And if he lobbed - then I would look like a clown - but fortunately, it worked, says Tim Winkler, who was left with mixed feelings after the draw.
- Every point is precious in the situation we are in right now, so everything we can scrape together is worth its weight in gold. But I feel a bit the same as in Svendborg, where we are actually in good control, but then lose the lead in the final minutes - and then it catches up with us at the very end. There are small margins at the moment, and now we look forward to coming home to Skjern Bank Arena, where we along with the audience will get the atmosphere going, says Tim Winkler.
The next task for Winkler and company is on Thursday, when Grindsted GIF will visit.
