Victory number 42 over TTH

By Nicklas Thygesen

It was, as always, dramatic with pace across the court in a great soundscape when the local derby in Holstebro on Saturday evening unfolded for the 77th time in history.

For the 42nd time the one end stand filled with green fans could celebrate another victory, when Oscar Carlén in his first local derby as head coach took both points back to 6900.

As usual Axel Månsson was influential in the West Jutlanders' attacking play, while Bjarke Christensen and Svend Rughave delivered when things had to be decided.

For it never became a pretty or well-played game, but the fight and the close confrontations were at a twelve. A true local derby, in which Svend Rughave stole the headlines.

Several great saves in the final phase of the match - including a penalty throw a few minutes before closing time - contributed to Skjern leaving Holstebro with two important points.

The green won 29-27 with Axel Månsson as top scorer with nine goals.
